A guy took a Greyhound bus from Tucson to ride it home. I am supposed to be going to my local dealer this afternoon to pay for and ride home my new touring rig.

I just wish it came in a color other than black. I am still working on cleaning my black Ural to be more presentable to potential buyers. At least the XMax doesn't have as many painted surfaces.

Working on breaking it in. Quick 102 mile (3 hour) ride this morning. So far, I need a new (larger) windscreen. Something to block the wind from my hands at 40F would be nice, too. Seat isn't bad. Not perfect but not a mandatory change immediately. The navigation is not as good as Google but good enough for now. I will eventually be wiring in accessory power and running a different solution. The Yamaha Y-Connect app is something I didn't know about until the night before I bought the bike. I like that it tracks my riding and all the metrics for me. It saves me from needing to record fuel mileage and whatever separately. Averaging 71mpg in the first 131 miles and that includes a lot of steep grades.

Trying to knock out the break-in oil/miles quickly so I can start flogging it on the interstate. Difficult to stay under 4500 rpm and I'm already failing but at least I'm not trying to do 80mph yet.

Parts that have arrived or are on their way:

Wolfline seat (installed)
Doubletake Adventure mirrors (installed)
Grip Puppies (installed)
Puig V-Tech Touring windscreen
Rowe Amplink
Denali D3 Fog lights
Wolfline crash bars
Lamtto RC19 CarPlay screen
Lartech-Moto Pannier Racks
Givi Trekker 33L pannier cases

Also picking up an aux fuel tank from a local cannonballer as soon as I can get out to him and pick it up.

I should really be working on getting Booger back in running order but the Smudge is new and exciting.
