Hi Glenn,

That huge rack looks like it will lend itself well to moving radio equipment around. We have around 100 miles of coastline covering 360° of the compass and our highest point is Snaefell at 2,037 ft ASL. So the potential to explore and play radio at the same time is very tempting. If you hear MD0RTZ calling CQ, give me a shout. =)
Hit the PTT and every thing dims - or take your own battery!!

If you were going to set out and design an all round do everything bike from the ground up for the Isle of Man it would come out looking exactly like a Hunter Cub. About the only thing it won't do is give you a sub 16m 42.778s lap of the mountain course. And oddly enough Honda have something for that too, we'll ignore that it was last set on a BMW however.

I knew this isn't a CT125 but it's a Honda and it's on the Isle of Man so two out of three isn't bad. As soon as I have a filmed lap on the Hunter Cub I'll upload it here, promise.

Basically just bike porn but it shows the island off really well, if a little quickly, try not to blink. o_O
Bringing this back on topic, Some Guy Rides is a great advert for Honda and for motorcycle adventure touring in general. Ang shows that you don't need to mortgage to house to buy a BMW that's half as big as the house you just mortgaged and 20% heavier. I've still got a lot of his videos to watch, I'm looking forward to just sitting back with a cuppa and putting my feet up for a couple of hours pure indulgence.
You may also enjoy Itchy Boots you tube videos. She's not on a CT 125 but she's cool and her adventures are exciting.

I'll give Itchy Boots a look see. I can live vicariously through hers and Ang's videos. However much I like to think I could do something epic The Trans Manx Trail might be found wanting. 30 miles N to S, 12 miles E to W, it's a work in progress.

I've tried watching these and I admire the achievement, however the constant chatter about everything just annoys me. I prefer videos with minimal voice over narrative, but that's just me I'm not knocking the guy he does a really good job filming, if I'm honest I have the same problem with quasi motards videos I watch them with the sound off. Just my preference no disrespect intended.

There's probably a solid market for ASMR style videos where it's just a gentle open domain soundtrack, following the bike rolling down whatever trail it is, nothing but the soft engine noises and a light audio track. If Revzilla can do that for their stripping-servicing-reassembling a motorcycle (like the CT90 video, 1.2 million views), I think there's some solid money to be made from Youtube et al by producing such a video.

Just sayin' in case you decide you want to capture some video of the CDT ride...

Always a good idea, need to learn to use a go pro 1st. I actually do prefer the asmr for entertainment and commentary for educational videos. Just my preference as I said I'm not trying to put those guy's down as I'm sure it's an incredible pain in the but to do all the filming, nothing but respect for that

This guy's my favorite...polished and no commentaries...it's Japanese but still love watching the rides...I've almost completed my Insta360 camera set up like this guy's rocking...

I'd not stumbled across these and they're wonderful. My late wife and I had always planned to visit Japan and I still want too. This just goes to strengthen that desire.
Not understanding Japanese doesn't detract from the videos, the quality of which are superb. Best of all they drive on the right side of the road (or the left depending on how you look at it) so I could dive right in without having to worry about that.

On a side note does his bike sound a little throatier than standard or is that just the audio. Either way it sounds good.

[edit]: Customized CT125 [OPMID] OP MULTI METER [YOSHIMURA] GP -MAGNUM CYCLONE EXHAUST SYSTEM [Michelin] Anaki Street [Gcraft & YSS] Front Rear Suspension [SP Takegawa] LED fog lamp kit [K&H] Broad bean high seat [KIJIMA] Rear rack... you got to love Google translate.

Thank you for highlighting this YouTube channel.

Vetch Channel's bike has an after market exhaust that's why it sounds meaty...
Here's another guy in Japan...similar style but more camping with CT...I'm still figuring out how he brings all that equipment on the 125...

ok, but you like... you'll probably have to mute out my swearing. Thankfully you won't have to blur my face, I'll be wearing a full face helmet so that'll take care of that... 😂

Japanese moto camping videos are a treat. They have different regulations so they're set up really differently - IIRC external fuel tanks are not allowed, probably why we can't buy any more of those sub tanks, and there's some pretty strict rules about fires. One of the anime shows I was watching had a very relaxed vibe to it dedicated to camping, and that combined with the Super Cub series was an interesting insight into Japanese minimoto possibilities, particularly slower speed. Here, 125cc feels like the minimum I could get away with.
