damn hardcore. Ive ridden in pretty deep slow a long time ago on an OLD (65? 500 cc) bmw with a sidecar, was fun but we needed smokes and beer, and foodstuffs. Was a borrowed rig, the girl across the street where i lived in kansas, her dad owned the local shop and it was his. man, fun times but .. nope. kudos.

You're a madman! Looks like a blast. Just came in off the old big red (three wheeler), it was a blast too, but there are no cars for me too look out for. Be safe buddy.

Thanks, gang. I went slow and steady, 12-15 mph and feet down only once. Chains held up beautifully. It’s currently still snowing hard. I get out of work at 10 pm, then slow ride back home. It’s going to be like riding on the moon. Amazing. I’ll post when I get home, but don’t worry, I’m being super careful.

Many years ago after a big storm I charged the mighty 6V battery and put it in my CT-90. Put the little beast in low/low and took off. I made it about 15 feet and buried it in a snow drift so deep it didn't even tip over when I got off.

Ok Gang, I made it back home. The paved/semi-plowed parts were super slick, the unpaved/unplowed parts were a bit of a slog, and the unpaved/well plowed parts were a dream. Never above 15mph, feet down and bike swung perpendicular to the road a few times, but no falls. Tire ruts were harder to deal with than making fresh tracks. Cheers all, and happy riding.

Oh, yeah. One thing I’ve learned so far: it’s a fine line between badass and dumbass.;)

Wow, don't think I've ever seen chains on a motorcycle tire!
Dmonkey has more experience than me with tire chains. He’s got a post on here with photos and excellent advice for running with chains. I don’t know how to link to it.
