Riding done for the day, albeit on a different steed than Snot.
Fettling with the milk crate setup on the Trail now.
Btw, the pre tapped holes on the rear rack, they 6mmx1.0? Figuring the paint in the threads is making it tight but before I get heavy handed thought I'd ask..... 😉

Yes. If you have an M6 thread restorer tool it should clean the paint out without as much risk as running a tap through it. Or apply some lubricant for the first fitting of the bolts and then remove them again and clear the debris.

I was thinking of running a tap thru but running an oiled flange bolt in and out should be able to clear the paint out. Thanks for confirming thread 👍🏻

Got a collapsible crate mounted and installed using the "old license plate" hack. Two M6x30 bolts, some fender washers, and tool drawer liner. Works like a charm. Scuffed the rear rack paint a bit but I'll never see that again.

Decided the BigAnt crate was too large for me. I think they stopped selling the small version that everyone seems to have and started only selling the black one in the larger size. I used my small crate to get to Kohls to return the big one! Some real logistics here, folks.

Did my first grocery run as well, worked like a dream!
