Temporarily disabling ABS? Also ABS indicator?

I have two questions for those in the know:
- I've looked online a few times for this but haven't found anything indicating it's possible. Is there a way to temporarily disable the ABS on the Trail 125, preferably without pulling a fuse or some equally annoying method that does not automatically re-arm on restart?
- Secondly, is there a visual indicator on the instrument cluster that ABS is engaging? Also for those with the OPMID instrument cluster, I'd like to know if it exists on that one too.

The majority of the time I'm a big fan of safety features like ABS, particularly on a slower motorbike like a Trail 125. Honda has done a great job and definitely know what they're doing, but there are situations where disabling the ABS might yield an improvement in safety, or be necessary to limp home. In those situations, having the choice to disable ABS temporarily and re-enable it easily would be extremely helpful. Obviously bigger, more feature filled bikes have a switch or menu setting, and some of the more basic bikes (like the RE Himalayan) rely on pulling a fuse.

An example of what I'm talking about is a long time ago, maybe 12 years or something like that, there was a video of two Aussies descending a hill on bigger adventure bikes with ABS front and rear. One of the riders forgot to disable his ABS and in a hilarious display of how ABS works on loose gravel, proceeded to descend at full speed down the bumpy terrain, keeping it upright but losing the side panniers in the process much to the laughter of the camera man (if you've seen the video you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about). I know upwards of 99% of the time I'd want to keep it on, and while that exact scenario could never happen on the Trail 125 because the rear brake is non-ABS I now ask the question for every ABS driven motorcycle that may see off road use.

There is no way to disable the ABS through buttons on the instrument cluster like you can on some other bikes, the instrument cluster is extremely simple and limited. There is a 10A "ABS SUB" fuse in the fuse box, you could add a switch to the circuit to break it and disable the ABS. It will likely trigger both the ABS light and the check engine light on the instrument cluster when the circuit is broken, but I don't know for sure. I have had the ABS engage plenty of times and never noticed a light for it when that happens, though you do feel it. Because it's only front ABS, I have had no issues with it on gravel where I'm mostly using the rear brake to keep things straight. If you're looking to do stoppies you'll want to disable it though ;)

Yah, every vehicle I've ever used ABS on is not gentle with hiding that ABS is being engaged. I didn't see any indicator on the display but I couldn't see all of the display either. I figured maybe the OPMID cluster might have it but that's contingent on replacing it with the OPMID cluster.

just unplug the sensor, there's no 'limp' mode. tape over the stock idiot lights or ignore them and you're fine.
