Goddamn that's a sexy bike. I'm glad mine looks like that one. Literally nice everything on this. I actually ended up doing stupid drunk purchases the other day and I have a K-Speed fender lift kit suggested by @dmonkey on order. I agree with the assessment of the YSS kit, I don't know if it's worth it. For the rear suspension, there have been a few good suggestions that aren't the YSS options; I think it's @G19Tony that's running the chrome version of these bad boys that I've been eying off; apparently he and I like hamburgers a little too much so I figure we might also enjoy the same taste in rear suspension.

I was last in Austin in 2016. Visited Mellow Johnny's bike shop, but mostly just worked a conference (lol the stories I have of that conference...).

Nope. Not me. I have the black YSS shocks from Beez.

Got the Shinko 244 Golden Boys installed yesterday. Absolutely love the way they look. Definitely feel different on asphalt, but nothing too crazy. I will say that with stock fender height, they were rubbing HARD on the mudflap bolts at like 25 mph+... So bad that I had to pull over halfway on the ride home to remove the mud flaps. They still seemed to even be rubbing or touching the fender elsewhere, so I have to install the riser kit later today... kinda strange considering I haven't heard of anyone having that same issue yet.IMG_7176.jpgIMG_7163.jpgIMG_7172.jpg

If you are meaning the rub on the mudflap bolts I have mentioned it multiple times but for me it’s over 50 mph or so.
Considering the variables on shipping and assembly I may just grab the mud flap area and pull it up. I just need a little, sounds like you need more…. One guy has had luck with just drilling new holes in the fender a few mm’s lower and didn’t need to move the horn.
If you meant something else sorry, disregard

I just replied to your other comment on the riser thread, but yeah that's what I meant by no one else having this issue. Just the low speed rub part. And the rubbing on the actual fender itself. For now I just have the fender off while I wait for the kspeed lift brackets. Kind of thinking of going the dirtbike style fender route... The bike looks badass with no fender haha IMG_7200.jpgIMG_7202.jpg

Fwiw, I hadn’t seen the paint scraped off the inner part of the fender, guessing it’s from rocks, or maybe that’s the noise instead of the mud flap bolts but I don’t think so…

You are definitely right.... this is so weird. I know that each bike varies, but that is quite a difference. I could see the tire making contact with the fender when I looked under it. So crazy...

K Speed Diablo Fender lift Installed finally.

I like it overall, but it does push against the shock boots making them bow out when the fork is compressed.. Not sure if I could adjust it but I will give it a shot.

Also installed K spee DIablo Engine covers. They're kinda cool but not a perfect fit on some parts

Last thing I installed was an Apple airtag under the seat using a pelican mount. Cheap theft protection.

Those crank case covers look nice. Also now I'm wondering how long it's gonna take for my lift kit to arrive? I'm pretty sure you ordered it after I did, and I still haven't received mine.

Did you order direct from k speed Japan? Did they give you tracking? My tracking stayed stagnant for a week or two while it was in transit/customs. One day it updated and I had it 2 days later. I think 3 weeks total.
