Tire slime

Anyone know how much slime is needed for a trail tube, just for preventative measures? The bottle on mine doesn’t specify and I searched on here and didn’t see it. Thanks.

IMO you're better off carrying the bottle and an inflator and instead using it reactively rather than proactively. You then have the benefits of slime available to you without the downsides if you don't end up needing it.

I never had luck with slime in tube type tires. Only tried once though.

I put a product called, Ride On in my tubes.

Thanks. I got it free thought I would try it and in my lectric bike tubes. I also have a spare tube just in case.

I carry tire changing tools and patch kit and pump on the trail

In my experience Slime dries-out over time. For me I only add it to my tires/tubes when I have a puncture.
