  • Popular Trail125 and Navi MiniMOTO models are back for the new model year
  • Budget-friendly XR150L dual-sport model also returning
  • Two championship-bred Montesa Cota trials models featured
In its first new-powersports-product of the 2025 calendar year, American Honda today announced the return of several two-wheel models. Featuring motorcycles in three different categories, the announcement calls attention to Honda’s dedication to all types of enthusiasts.
The Trail125 and Navi continue to be great options in Honda’s growing MiniMOTO lineup. For riders looking to get into dual-sport without breaking the bank, the XR150L is the most affordable option on the market. And on the trials front, two Montesa Cota machines are back for 2025, after another dominating performance by Toni Bou in the FIM’s 2024 indoor and outdoor trials world championships.
“Every one of these models is designed with our customers’ needs in mind,” said Colin Miller, Manager of Public Relations at American Honda. “Honda wants to make sure every rider has their needs covered, no matter what kind of ride they’re looking to enjoy.”

Known changes for the 2025 Model Year:
  • Glowing Red color, which is updated same as the Glowing Red JA65 in other markets (e.g. Canada) to have a black rear carrier and snorkel plastic
  • Pearl Smoky Gray color
  • Lower exhaust shield is updated (small holes on top, has more visual flow with the upper shield)

Speculative changes based on the latest model year release in Thailand and Japan:
Things I'd be curious to know once these arrive in dealerships:
  • Does the USA finally get the blue 2P accessory power connector inside the headlight bucket?
  • Will the rear carrier have the additional weldnuts on it for accessories, like Japan and Canada have received?

This is still a JA65, or second generation, CT125A. Model year differences will likely be differentiated in technical documentation by model year, VIN character representation of the model year (S for 2025), or engine number, same as in other markets.

An amusing observation: Previously mentioned in the Dax 125 thread, Honda are once again photoshopping the press photos to recolor and make visual updates to the bike. These results are... not something I'd hang on my fridge! lol

Honda are also incorrectly listing a rear tire size of 80/91-17. Likely a copy from last year. A reminder that folks at Honda can make mistakes, too!

Edit: I contacted Honda's PR about this and they were quick to fix the tire size.

Even with the looming possibility of a 25% import tariff added to the cost of goods from Mexico, Honda are continuing to offer the Honda de México-built Navi and XR150L to the USA market for 2025.

A disappointing observation: The Honda Super Cub is likely not returning to the USA for the 2025MY since it was excluded from this press release.

awesome! love the gray will definitely be getting one. kind of felt like 2024 was the first year I saw tons of stock at every dealer I visited(still 6 yellows left in stock at my local dealer). hopefully this drives down price gouging and mark ups here out west( it won't).

Sorry if I missed it but is the Glowing Red the same shade of red that came in prior year models? For some reason I'm thinking it's more of an orange red but I've been wrong before

Thanks for confirming the 8th character of the VIN for a Thai market bike :)

Any accessory picked out?
Good question and yes is the answer so far i have at home and ready to be fitted next week

Honda front rack
Honda center rack
EBC Front brake pads (hope they have not changed the brakes from the last model)
EBC rear brake pads (also same with above)
DNA air filter (also hope the model has not changed in the design)

I have some Duro HF-307 (2.75) on order, but no ETA on them so i who knows when i get them.

I also have a Honda Windscreen in Canada Land ready for me at a mates house, but i shall not be there until June to collect it.

oo Also Np about confirming the position 8, least i don't think its a Gold Wing with airbags lol
LOL. Yeah, I that VIN character position represents something different between different models though there seems to be a more common pattern between the 125cc mini motos.
A Honda Trail with an airbag would certainly be interesting.

Good accessory picks. I suspect those will all fit your 2025MY. Looking forward to hearing how it goes.
If you don't mind sharing, what importer are you working with for your bike?

Hi mate, cool yep the local dealer here in Bermuda brought the bike in for me (https://worlddistributors.bm/). There are a lot of bike dealers here and most get their bikes from either Thailand or Indonesia.

accessories wise I also feel it’s a good combo. The official speed limit here is 35 KPH, however there is a gentleman's agreement that everyone can do 50 kph, however if you go above it and then get done for speeding it’s based on how far over 35kph you were going. Bermuda is a very small island and it’s very twisty turney, with tight narrow road.
Fun fact the only other CT125 here is a yellow one and is owned by the father of Flora Duffy (if you follow triathlon, you will know who she is)

deffo will do ride reviews / photos etc so everyone keep their eyes peeled.
