Warm New Year's Day in southern IL.

60 plus degrees today. 70 plus miles, top speed 50 mph, average speed 17 mph, 5 hours total.
Followed the Mississippi river.
Saw 2 eagles, thought we'd have seen more.

1720 to 1765 French Fort, which has the oldest building in IL. on it's grounds.

We also got out. My lovely Wife came along. She had gas money, and she bought lunch !

A bit of a run along Historic Route 66 and a lunch stop at the Famous Missouri Hick BBQ.

40 degrees to start, and 65 degrees to finish. The clouds rolled in and out, but we had more sun and blue skies than not. Great New Year's Day ride !
