I know a TW200 is a more logical choice, but goddammit I want the trail. I'm willing to tinker to make it more fatty friendly so I'll probably go with what I like rather than what makes sense.
Gold Camp road would be a lot of fun but getting back through Victor, Woodland Park… would not. My CT125 falls just short of doing a route like that and why I want to swap for a Tdub. I have to commit to trailering now until then.

Hello- I have both -TW200 and trail 125-it is a apple to oranges comparison- if you are carrying camp gear and other supplies in hilly rougher terrain the tw is the way to go…
But it will need to be modified with a heavy duty rack- I’ve seen some tw’s fail on rack modifications because some owners use the rear turn signals for supporting there modifications/rack-the trail 125 has a better stock rack than the tw- both bikes are easily over loaded because everyone tries to carry everything for a apocalyptic event ?
If your wife gets a trai 125 you guys can split the load? And they are more user friendly?
Still when you get to my age riding either one it is still an exercise in risk management!
