I was an early adopter of the RX4. The 2021 models have a TFT screen, and spoked tubeless tires, which has us early guys in a lather.

My only bike until the Trail 125 arrives, a 2014 R1200GS Adventure with too few miles but three good 6,000-mile trips behind it.

For years I've felt the need for a light and very nimble bike on the opposite end of the adventure spectrum, one that would take me to new and interesting places without so much risk in breaking the bike or myself. I learned about the 125 about 3 weeks ago and I'm looking forward to having it take that role next to the big Beamer.

You're going to be happy. I had the same thoughts as you. I wanted something smaller that I could go *anywhere* on, without fear of dropping a 600lb monster and having to try to pick it up. The great news is the 125 is turning out to be exactly what I expected it to be. It's so easy to ride, so stable, you feel like you can ride it anywhere. Finally I have a bike that when I'm out just putzing around I turn down every horrible looking road I can find without worry. Heck, I've started eyeing up farmer tractor paths...

Short story, I think you made a good choice. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks! Amazingly I've had to pick the big GS up only once. I very much look forward to the ability to turn down any road that looks interesting, obeying all speed minimums of course.
