Now I’m listening to a great Japanese group called Homecomings. Their 2023 album is called New Neighbors, but they’ve been around for years. Easy listening alternative rock? I can’t put them in a genre box…. Spotify.

Really testing the potential of “anything and everything” unrelated to the bike in this area, but what are you listening to lately?

I’ve been really into King Gizzard and the Lizzard Wizard lately after following them for a few years, then seeing a live show a few weeks back. They just released a new album that is more metal in genre. Not my typical genre but it’s still great.
Bump!

Finally another King Gizz fan! I saw them at the Rave in Milwaukee last time they were in town. Ive got a few of there albums, Polygonawagaland, Nonagon Infinite, and Quarters. Great band.

Im listening to MF Doom. Mmmm Food is the album.

I just randomly updated my stereo setup. To get my money’s worth (and to spend more money), I need high quality vinyl recommendations.

I have some time as I don’t know when my new speakers will arrive from Denmark but this thread should be revitalized so I get some fresh music ideas.

OK, if no one else is going to bite, I'll give a few suggestions (having no clue what your musical tastes are).

Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band in general is excellent Jazz. They are composed mostly of LA studio musicians, and do a cover of an old song written by George & Ira Gershwin for the Opera Porgy & Bess, called Summertime, that is over the top. Vangie Gunn's vocals are amazing on this! Starts out slow like originally written, then quickly ramps up the intensity.

Older artists to look at are:

Jean Luc Ponty - Sunset Drive

Jeff Lorber - The Underground, Lost With You

Quincy Jones songs - Ai No Corrida, Razzamatazz, The Dude.

Joe Sample (keyboard for The Crusaders) has a solo album, Rainbow Seeker, that has some good stuff on it. Is a bit more laid back.

Return to Forever, featuring Chick Corea recorded "Song to the Pharaoh Kings" that I really like.

Well the release of "A Complete Unknown" movie triggered a re-visit to my twenty-something CDs of Bob Dylan music - going thru them trying to absorb the lyrics and relating them to history notes. Also, echoing some of the other respondents' choices - ala ABBA, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, etc. Of course I'm much older than most of you. :)
