The USA bikes are neutral at the bottom, 4 up.
The Canadian (and rest of the world, it seems) bikes have a rotary shifter system of neutral at the top, 4 down, and from 4th you can toe-down directly into neutral while stopped.
Shift pattern Canada
Picked up the trail today. The shift pattern is 4 down, as in toe shift down to go up in gear, 1-2-3-4. The heal shifter changes down 4-3-2-1. Not sure why Canada gets the opposite of the US who are 4 up with the toe up. You would think all of North America would be the same?

And when they bolted my mirrors on they used vice grips at the Lexington,Ky. Honda dealership. The rubber boot covers that, but when I put on my Doubletake mirrors, there was the deep vice grip teeth marks in the mirror nuts. we should have a list, dealerships to avoid and why.
