@vintagegarage How much does it cost to import those bikes? I know the Square X125 sells for relatively cheap, but I imagine you have a bunch of hurdles and shipping/processing fees in order to import them to the states. I would grab one of those but I would imagine the price of around $2k USD would not stay like that for long.
Is it a lot of work and expensive?

Ocean shipping charges are by volume, and weight is irrelevant. The $600 eBikes, such as the Dax e:, Cub e:, S10T, and the S09R come already crated in as small a box as possible with the front wheels removed to save space. Shipping and logistics for them is about $1,200 or so each, making the OTD delivered price a bit under $2,000 The E-VO and the E-VO GT are larger, and the factory crates aren't suitable for ocean shipping. I have them boxed without being disassembled, so their volume is more than twice that of an eBike. I also pay for the boxing on them. Boxing, local shipping, ocean shipping, destination trucking on those ends up to be around $3,500, bringing the delivered price to be similar to what a CBR500R costs at a typical USA Honda dealer after dealer mystery fees are added in, a bit less than $8,000. My guess is that a SQUARE X125 would be below the middle. It would come boxed with the front wheel removed, and the box would be only a bit larger than an eBike box. My guess would be about $1,800 to $2,000 for door to door ocean shipping on the SQUARE X125, but the only way to know is to measure the volume of the box. If that is true, then my guess for the total cost would be 12,680 Yuan (about $1,900 USD) +$1,900 USD Shipping, total $3,800 delivered. Chances are your local DMV will laugh you out of the place when you go to register it, as Sundiro Honda never sought approval from US regulators to sell them in the USA.

@vintagegarage Very informative. Like @bukwessul said, never having done such a import I would be lost and would only be guessing. That is very useful information that you provided!
Im not sure what my town office would say lol. If it wasn't going to be roughly the same price as the bike I would be more interested since that only costs $2k USD for the x125. Still, $3800 doesn't seem terrible to me for a cool sibling to the CT125.
Let us know when you get it haha!

I chose a black ZOOMER e: this morning.. easy peasy to import and with pedals, easy to legally ride here. Should see it in about 90 days, if all goes well. Not sure what will be next after the Zoomer..
