Been using this helmet for a couple months now (riding season over now), and think it is a decent helmet for the price. Got it from Parts-Unlimited for $70 (plus local sales tax). They have different colors (black, grey and black) and sizes. 3 Button visor included, and you can purchase other visors or shields that use the standard 5 button pattern.
Comfortable helmet, d-ring helmet strap with a button to snap the excess strap for flapping around. Didn't notice any difference with air-flow with the vents above the visor.
I think for the price, it is a decent helmet, and the styling fits the bike perfectly.
I understand that open face helmets dont provide the face and chin protection that full face helmets do, but is better than no helmet.

I have a ZR1 Range 2.0. I was really thinking about an open face, but I also imagined a rock coming off a car tire and hitting my car windshield. (and bugs, my god do I not want to take a bug splatter directly on cheek skin)

The chin is the body part most likely to take a hit due to crashing. That is why I use an HJC modular. Yes it costs way more than $70 but what is your face worth?

OFG I did end up getting a HJC modular for reasons below:
On the most recent trip I did the wind noise after about 30 minutes was terrible with the open face helmet, and even with the bubble shield and sunglasses my eyes were getting a lot of wind underneath both. I just liked the look for the so called nostalgia of an old bubble shield. Not a bad helmet and comfortable but between actual safety and wind noise I would no longer suggest the helmet.

When i switched to the HJC Modular I had no issues with wind noise or wind getting in my eyes. Plus having the chin protection is better.

*edited to clarify which helmets I was talking about.

I normally ride with the most minimal beanie I legally can - largest field of view, light and simple.

I do like the 3/4 helmet second best and if it's cold I wear that one.

I once got stung twice in the same ear, on the same day, riding with a 3/4 helmet. They are designed perfectly to catch hornets that bounce off your face and get stuck alongside the helmet foam... :)

Helmet fit is a very personal thing. One size/shape does not even come close to fitting all. Never noticed wind noise with my HJC modular, but than how much wind does my Trail 125 generate?

I re-read what I wrote and sorry for the confusion. The wind issues came with the open face helmet with bubble shield.
The HJC modular I had zero issues.
