Yeah, I've read about the chain wear, but on my old CT90's and 110's with 15/45 sprockets it wasn't apparent, the chains and sprockets lasted forever on them, I'm not concerned about that. I had my sprocket from the UK in two weeks.

they sell 428 conversion sprockets. common mod on the grom making HP. When i had the 4V head on mine was pushing almost 30 HP, would eat a 420. those guys carry them.. but also:

Yes, I see they have 428 rear sprockets, but nothing bigger than 40 tooth.

That's good to know. So many guys on the other forum were SOOOO worried about chain wear with the 13t/39t but if you look at the specs, it has less wear characteristics than the factory setup. But again, your old CT90/110 didn't see much highway use, so the miles on them was pretty limited compared to riding the CT125 on the highway a lot like a lot of us will be doing. More miles might make the wear show up faster.

Maybe, I doubt that it will be a noticeable difference. I didn't buy this bike for highway use so I'll probably never know.

You've been a big help and I appreciate it a lot. I finally ordered the sprocket from the UK for $27 shipped with a delivery by March 1 (if customs doesn't hold it up a couple weeks like they've done to me in the past). I decided to just wait for the 41t rather than get the 15/44 more quickly. If I need lower gearing than the 13/39, I'll put the the 13 with the 41 and have 3.15!

Yeah, I searched out all the Grom stuff too, nothing useful for me there.

look for stunt sprockets then. i mean a stock grom one is 34. some of the stunt guys ran upwards of 50. have no idea where they came from. other side of it is that you could go to rebel gears, have one made. Ive had some custom ones done in the past from there, very nice stuff and US made. If course, usually people are going in the other direction, smaller rear or larger front when the HP goes up. Im sure the aftermarket will catch up sooner than later. Unfortunately, as of right now, the biggest aftermarket for similar items is the grom market.

I don't see why it wouldn't work just fine. I chose the 15/45 because my old trail 90's came that way stock, I knew it was pretty good gearing.
I have heard of sprocket changes causing he ABS to show a fault, but I haven't experienced that. You might try 14/45 and have a happy medium?
I've used the 13t and it affected my abs. Light kept coming on.have to stop turn off key turn back on. Later do it again. I'm considering your 15/45 and trying that. I'm curious about a 14 /42 combo.

I haven't ridden far with these sprockets, maybe 20 miles but I didn't see a fault. I may see one when the weather warms up and I can get out there for more than a few minutes. What part of Arkansas? I'm up near Hardy.

Ok then....I'm keeping the 13T cause it passed the "haul his big ass around really good' test. Yes, I'm also getting the ABS light. My question is, with stock Speedo, is some company coming out with a speedo correction thingy?

I'm in Marianna. Close to a place called cypress corner. Famous for their bbq. marianna is South of Forrest city. How's the speed and acceleration with the combo your using?

Been through Marianna many times. Acceleration is better than stock, top speed wasn't hurt, but RPMs are up a bit. For my use here in the hills and on gravel roads it's near perfect.

Last week I did a overnite Adventure ride into out desert. I weigh 200 pounds+ gear (full AGATT). I had my soft luggage (Tusk Panniers) full of my winter gear setup...so, probably 50-60 more pounds. The LRD did excellent. The Acceleration with the 13T is markedly better...better from Stop lights, and better from a start in soft sand. The highway cruise at flat and level was easy at 45mph. The hills were usually in 3rd gear, however, some were in 2nd. WHen I have no luggage, it's just much better even more so. IF I was 150 pounds maybe I'd keep the OEM.
I will not be going back to stock, even IF I can't get rid of the blinking ABS light-Its that much better for me. The LRD is my other adventure bike (I also have a KTM790R). With my modified seat and my current setup, I honestly believe I can crusie the US via backroads no probs. BTW, One of my pending projects is to do a BBQ tour. Each state has a "best" BBQ and I just may find out this summer.

Do you have a seat modification on the ct125. If so what is it please! My seat is hard as a rock. I've installed the Yss fork kit running maxima 7wt. 125cc oil volume. Works alot better than stock. Just got in some factory Honda fork piston tubes. Going to drill those so my emulators will take over the factory rod dampening. Hopefully it will improve more. Tomorrows project.

Not yet but supposed to be out in march. It's a speedo healer for abs.
