Got an order today that should of had two double take enduro mirrors, and it only had one. So I called and they said this mirror Is sold separately, not sold as a set. So off it goes to be returned and I ordered a set off ebay, which is what I should of done from the start. The advertisement layout convinced me I was getting a pair of mirrors. So I didn’t want another mirror from that seller. If something that normally sells in a set of two is only being sold one at a time, the retailer should make that pretty noticeable in his advertisement layout.

I bought them from Amazon. You can save some money if you buy components individually. There are RAM arm alternatives that do the same thing but are cheaper. I just bought the whole kit because I was feeling lazy and wanted them ASAP.

I will never see 70 so that shouldn't be much of a problem. You can clamp them down pretty tight if you want to. I used blue loctite for the ball stud base to keep them from spinning in the mount.

I also had to use blue loctite, it kept loosening on the road. Doubletake makes a couple few different models, I like the Enduro model, looks great on the ct, keeps the round mirror look.

I debated between the two but the ADV was in stock and I have poor impulse control.

The ball mounts can get greasy or dirty and start to slip. If you clean them with alcohol it should help, if it becomes a real issue you can scuff up the surfaces for more friction. I use them for GPS mounting and my biggest annoyance used to be trying to get the mount back in the same position after taking it off. Adding a fine tip marker to my kit for marking the position solved that.

Some people have reported issues with those Rox Pivot Risers slipping which made me hesitant to use them on a different motorcycle, but I ended up running them for a while and they didn't slip. If you have any issues with them slipping, follow the motorcycle's service manual for the lower pivot. For the Honda Trail that means tightening the front-most bolts to spec (20 ft lbs) first, then the rear bolts leaving a gap facing the rider. Then do the same for the top pivot following Rox Speed FX's specs of 18-20 ft lbs, leaving the gap facing the rider. I think the issue is that since Rox Speed FX don't provide a tightening order people assume that as a two-piece clamp they should just tighten it evenly which is not the case for most bar clamps. I ended up replacing mine with bar back risers of similar geometry, less flex and look a little cleaner on the motorcycle.

I've had Rox Risers on my Ural for two years and haven't had an issue. Good to know in case I have an issue here, though!

What exactly did you get @dmonkey ????
This is on a different bike, a Moto Guzzi V7, but I replaced the Rox Pivot Risers with SW-Motech bar backs. They are a 30mm rise and 21mm offset back, which put the bar toward me about the same distance I had the Rox Risers adjusted to, but without so much rise. 1.44" hypotenuse vs the 2" total offset distance of the Rox.

Rox Pivot Risers:

SW-Motech bar backs:

For touring I attach a Kriega Kube Pocket (water resistant) to keep things like spare ear plugs, a digital tire pressure gauge, and small snacks handy and it happens to also partially cover the risers.

I'm going to give the stock mirrors a chance for now. What I don't like is that they are too close to my shoulders.

Ideally, they go both higher AND wider. Simple mirror extenders? Anyone have a recommendation for best option in this case?
