Interested in seeing what's out there. I'm going to ride mine as for awhile, and see how it handle my 230lb butt.

I personally think it’s the one thing worth upgrading if nothing else. The current shocks have no adjustment. The handlingis great but the ride is not that good. I will upgrade front and rear.

Suspension, like gear ratios are another thing that makes me. 😵 It seems really complicated, if you really dive in. But, I sometimes make things harder than the really are. 🙄

What is involved? Just a set of vice grips and muscle?
With the bike strapped down on the lift table, I just muscled them up and gave them a twist, no tools involved. It's not a huge improvement, but worth doing in my opinion. For my use the stock suspension is just fine. Migolito thought it up and it made sense, so I stole the idea and ran with it.

Well done. Next time it's on the lift table, I'll do it.

Same here. Usually stock suspensions work for me, which is good because suspension parts are usually pricey. The rear seems ok, but the few miles I have gravel so far make me think the front might need an upgrade at some point.

I guess as far as options go you have the YSS shocks with and without remote reservoir, and then Ohlins has a set too I hear. Any other ones we know of?

Based on my 90% Slab riding, even with my heavy adv luggage, the suspension is just fine. However, when I did the dirt WITH my Adv luggage, it definately could use an upgrade.

BTW, for those keeping up on our banter; This little bike with absolutely ZERO modification (kept in stock form) is freakin great!! Seriously, buy it and ride the hell out of it and you will have bugs in your teeth. Don't let our 'modifications' dissuade you from getting this bike.

suspension upgrades are pretty standard for any bike, for the most part for most people. I was actually shocked they didn't have at least pre-load adjusters on the rear shocks. that is a fail to me from honda. I mean, it was just a collar change at the factory. that was the reason i ordered the shocks. I just got the non piggy-packs. But im sorry, honda should have had some sort of adjustment specced in the design. especially with a luggage rack as big as Utah.

Anyone else notice serious clunking from the front end on bumps of all sizes? What exactly is the cause? I initially thought it was just bottoming (and yes bottoming does make a clunking noise) but then I will also hear it very small bumps .... think of the curb pulling out of a gas station.

I've installed the YSS kit, without typing my soap opera i've put about 350 miles on it so far and still get the clunking noise, but strangely seems to be just the left fork. Preload adjustment doesn't seem to matter, stiff or soft I still get the noise.

Yes, I even drained it and refilled it to be sure. I used 15wt which seemed to help but I still get the clunking noise. Starting to wonder if it it's not coming from the headset.

Was thinking the same thing. Ohlin makes a set for this bike at $750 a pair. I have 3K+ on mine and I definitely want to upgrade suspension and Ohlins are legit, but damn--$750 for a $4k bike. Ahh, what the hell😭😭Love the bike! Her name is RubiE (Ruby) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSIi2ioNVAr/?utm_medium=copy_link
