    First bike rack travel haul

I LOVE a solid attachment like that! What's it attached to on the bike?

How many watts available from alternator?

As much as I want that... Are you sure it fits? Partzilla lists no cross compatibility for either the Grom or Trail stators. They're built by different manufacturers. They have different outputs in the diagrams. 2021 Trail: 2020 Grom:

How many watts available from alternator?

Keep in mind, that is TOTAL, including what the bike uses for its computers, lights, fuel pump, spark, etc. Elsewhere it's been estimated that there are about 60W available for aux. gear. That roughly matches with my experience that 45W-50W has voltage draining at idle but maintains acceptably...

    Pedal rubber part lifted

Straight up and down, you can see in the Partzilla diagram. You can also see a metal tab inside the rubber step, which is what makes it impossible to smush around like plain rubber. That tab is supposed to be horizontal with the feeler bolt sticking straight down below it.

Lane splitting now legal in AZ!

Is the law in effect already? Last I read it was passed but wouldn't go into effect until sometime in '23. I believe it also specified that it was only legal under 15mph and on roads slower than 45mph, but I could be misremembering the exact numbers.

Motorcycle Safety Foundation Advanced Rider Course

Paint doesn't typically last that long by me. Ranges have to be repainted every few years to keep the lines as bright as they appear in your photos. There is one that had a faint figure-8 visible a few years back, but that has since faded to invisibility.

Motorcycle Safety Foundation Advanced Rider Course

That's interesting. The NH DMV website confirms they use the MSF curriculum, but the MSF stopped using a figure-8 about a decade ago.

    Aux head light??

    > I am gonna check the alignment of my headlight... I found that adjusting the headlight was nearly useless. If I angled it down to light near-field adequately, I found myself out-riding it at 30mph. If I angled it up properly with the cutoff just below car mirrors, I found it too dim to come...

    Aux head light??

DD sort of claims 40W for my pair (I struggle to find an exact spec), similar to the Pro model's 38W. If you have the base SSC1 you're drawing about 25W combined. I also have a few other minor items hooked up, though that should be well under 10W. At idle my voltage immediately drops to 12.0V...

    Aux head light??

I second Diode Dynamics. I have a pair of SSC1s in "SAE fog" pattern on mine, similar mounting though I did make mine ignition switched (backlight with ignition and a switch for main beam). INCREDIBLE beam – very wide, nice vertical cutoff, way brighter than the OEM headlight. If you go this...

    Reserve Fuel container options.

I only carry a jerrycan when touring (>100 mile trips) and even then I only carry 1L (>20 miles) unless I know I'm going somewhere VERY remote. This bike gets great mileage, there's no shortage of gas stations by me and in the surrounding regions, and I try never to let my tank drop below a...

    Rear Brake Pedal Adjustment

There should be a little adjustment available on the rod that connects the pedal to the master cylinder. I haven't tried adjusting it on mine.

    Gas mileage

Casual riding around town, partial throttle, cruising no higher than 40-45 mph... I average around 110 mpg, typical tank average is around 110 mpg, best tanks are around 120 mpg. Loaded up with touring cargo/bags, WOT trying to hold close to 55mph with brief slow sections passing through...

    Heavy Fork Spring Option

Very cool! I was thinking of getting the chimera caps to add preload, but a slightly stiffer spring rate is VERY attractive. https://www.steadygarage.com/store/chimera-billet-aluminum-top-front-fork-caps-honda-ct-trail-125

    Reserve Fuel container options.

QuickFist is pretty good. If you have something perfectly cylindrical mounted in them, make sure to check it daily – it can rotate and it can slide through the mount, gradually, especially on rougher roads.
