Suggestions for discreet urban riding boots?

Are you referencing me? My helmet is about 1 year old, and is DOT. At some point, would a better one be in order? Yes. No brainer there. But for now it's what I have and it works well, and most of all I feel safe in it.

What do you think of the bike now?

Just hit 1k miles yesterday on the way to work. Totally agreed with running the bike out. At around 35 MPH in 3rd gear is when you can really feel it "get on cam" or how it has that elastic, fun throttle feel if you back off and then back on.

Suggestions for discreet urban riding boots?

Currently I'm using some Sperry boots as my get around footwear. They fit the nice middle road between having no protection via the normal Samba's I wear, and having full protection but limited movement using my Forma boots. I really should be wearing the Forma boots, but they are hard to use...

[USA] American Honda Confirms Honda Trail 125 return for 2024

Wow, yellow is one of my favorite colors, perhaps I should have waited a year! Well hey at least all of us 23’ers have a one year only RARE color now ;).

    Magnetic crate attachment

Did another test, about 25lbs, holding up so far. Probably the most the crate will hold, so in real world cases the crate you use would be the determining factor in if it's gonna fall off versus the magnet strength; ex: bigger crate = heavier load ability.

    Magnetic crate attachment

Took it on the first run today, worked great for what I would estimate to be 10-15lbs of groceries, felt VERY solid even with those. And yes, I did take the bumpy way back!

    Magnetic crate attachment

Appreciate the feedback, I'll let you know how the first few rides go!

    Magnetic crate attachment

For my purposes I am never overloaded / only carrying smaller items. I have yet to road test it but I have a feeling it will do better than expected based on how strong the neodymium magnets are (it's difficult to get the crate off as is).

    Magnetic crate attachment

Decided that an unmountable crate would be a good idea if I wanted to wash the bike or go without it, and my previous crate setup was very "janky" to say the least. Ordered a set of magnets with M6x1.00 studs on them and then picked up some fender washers from the hardware store. These magnets...

    Squeaky rear brake?

Decided to upgrade to the EBC's just to see how they performed. They act very similar to ceramic pads on a car, where the initial bite isn't as good but after 1 second they start to grab harder as they get warmer. I prefer this setup on my cars so it's something I am used to, and it allows me to...

    Squeaky rear brake?

Does anyone know if this same part number will fit the 2023 JA65? Looking to eliminate the squeak on mine as well.

    2023 Honda Trail 125

I ended up using the clevermade crate instead of the BigAnt. I preferred the smaller footprint so I could see some of the rack still. Welcome and enjoy your Trail!

[USA] American Honda Confirms Honda Trail 125 return for 2023

Seems like they are catching up in the US pretty quickly to demand versus 2021 and 2022. Nice to see that they'll have more bikes for people and make more money, should better guarantee that a 2024 model will happen.

Suggest a forum where members just can post pics of their Trail 125

Seeing more and more of these black exhaust covers gives me some ideas. Then again, the original chrome look of the Trail 90's / 110's...

Fired from job of 14 years and just need some encouragement if you’ve had similar experience

Don't know you, but I have a very real fear of this ever happening. Cheers to enjoying your ride for a moment and your next opportunity being better than your last.
