Why did you buy a Trail 125?

    1. Nostalgia - Had a Trail 70 in the 1970's. Rode it around my college campus with a 100lb Golden Retriever on my lap. 2. Save gas and wear and tear on my truck. I eat lunch with four different groups every week and the restaurants are all within five miles of my house. 90% of my...

    Engine Assembly at factory

Exactly! You only need a feeler gauge once to set the gap. Before you "snug it", turn the bolt in and count the rotations until it touches. Back it back out, double check if you like, and snug it. How many guys actually take the time to do that. If you do this once (and remember) you can...

    Engine Assembly at factory

At 3:30 he set the valves in less than 10 seconds without a feeler gauge. Sometimes we Americans really over-think this stuff.

    Fun With the CA DMV

There are some advantages to living in a "progressively challenged" state. Had new permanent plate in my mailbox 7 days after purchase.

Diablo crash bar with RIGID Radiance lights and PIAA mounts

The day after I had the lights mounted and wired I went to lunch with some buddies. As I pulled up, one guy walked over and said "Why do you have a crash bar on something that small?" I said, "Because I got some cool lights and needed a cool mount to go with them. That crash bar was my...

Diablo crash bar with RIGID Radiance lights and PIAA mounts

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000GTUM9O?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I had a basket over the headlight but it interfered with the windshield so I took it off. I do 100% commuting around town at 40-50mph so I need the windshield way more than I need the basket.

    Mirror extensions

Check this out: If you mount the box in this orientation you could make a custom plate for the left side and buy this decal from Revzilla for $3. https://www.revzilla.com/oem/honda/2021-honda-trail-125-abs/marks?submodel=ct125aac (Item #5) Just sayin.....

Diablo crash bar with RIGID Radiance lights and PIAA mounts

Thanks, would not have happened without your help. I went with square fogs to match the turn signals and that windshield because the mounts look like a miniature version of the mirrors. You're not the only one who's OCD....

    Headlight Wires?

I got everything fixed. I was my own worst enemy by getting the white wire involved. I wired it up exactly as I had originally drawn out and everything works perfectly with the 12v/5-pin relay. I'll still keep the incoming 6v relay as backup. Huge thanks to JTB for talking me through all the...

    Headlight Wires?

Thanks JTB. Have ordered the 6v. I clicked on that link before I knew anything about relays so didn't even know about 4 vs 5-pin at the time. I spent 4 hours messing with it today and just couldn't get in my head how 14.5 volts measured with the red lead + on the white wire and black - on...

    Headlight Wires?

Having issues wiring up my lights. The RIGIDs are rated at 9-15V. I get why the 8-8.5 volts on a lot of the wires won't trigger. However, the white wire does jump to 14.5v when high beams are on so why won't that trip the aux lights on? I have good current from the taps and ground. I can...
