    Jerky Down shifting

I find that if I press the shift pedal down and hold it when downshifting to each lower gear, then letting up after a second or so, the downshift is much smoother. Holding it down seems to put it into an interim neutral for a short period. This works except for downshifting to first - it's...

Luggage Rack Bar Behind Seat... Ouch!

First ride, that bar came into play on my tailbone. My solution was to cut the bar off. Also went with a Diablo slim seat, and I'll bring some type of seat pad on longer rides.

    Adventure Riding Pegs - DIY

Nice! Was looking for something myself. Also have been noodling whether possible to move the pegs back a couple of inches and possibly down. A lot of stuff gets in the way, particularly on the right side. Body position/weight is too far forward for standing through more technical stuff.

I'm frustrate about how to take my little donkey with camping trailer?

Possible to mount a carrier on the trailer tongue?

I used their high temp ceramic paint in flat black. Went on very easy. Just need to get that shine off the rear rack now.

BTW, use a garbage bag liner in the Moose bag. I used it on a solo adventure ride at the tippy top of the Michigan UP when this happened (log under water that caused me to flop the bike). Everything in the bag was a muddy mess!

    New 24 - mods

428VX master link arrived today, so x-ring chain now installed. I have an older Moose Racing rear adventure bag. Looks like it was tailor made for the rack on this bike. Semi soft luggage that comes off and can be used like a semi soft suitcase. Expands to about twice the height shown in...

It's coming after the Smokey Mountain 500 ride next week that I've been scrambling to get the bike ready for. Plan to powdercoat the frame, skidplate, all 3 racks and exhaust matte dark gray.

Here's the nearly finished project. Rode it about 20 miles today, including a little mild offroad. Front end definitely stiffer and does not bottom out nearly as easy as it did before. Have not adjusted the rear shocks yet, initial sag numbers were pretty good (<30%). When I load it down ...

    New 24 - mods

Pretty well finished most everything needed for my trip today, except still waiting on the master link to replace the chain. The other remaining items can wait. I removed the top and left side plastics. I ran and zip-tied the extra wire from my Garmin mount under the plastics. Also installed...

I then reinstalled the front wheel (with the 3.0-17 Shinko). Plenty of clearance side to side. I then installed the high rise front fender. This is pretty tricky. Relocating the horn and wiring loom bracket on the front of the lower triple clamp mount and then mounting the fender, while...
