    Battery terminal bolt length

I was able to get nice replacement bolts at my local hardware store for small change. 12mm sounds right.

    Gears suspension

That sounds easy enough to check by removing the side cover. I’ll try that on a milder day in March. Not expecting to get out on Vermont roads until April.

    Gears suspension

MNNTHBX replied within minutes of my writing them to say they expect the bronze bushings would fit but they don’t have direct experience. They also said that if we could provide good dimensions on the oem bushing they could be more definitive. Is there anyone out there who has replaced their...

    Gears suspension

Thanks. I’ll email the company you referenced and see if they have additional info.

m in sc - are the grom bushings the same as required for the CT? I checked out the parts diagram on Partzilla, but they don’t give parts numbers for the bushings.

    Racingbros Anti Dive System

m in sc, I always appreciate whenever you weigh in on any topic. Thanks for everything. On the emulators in the RacingBros kit, both appear identical, so I’m assuming both are increasing compression and the rebound damping comes from the stock seat pipe (Showa) and seal setup. So much to learn!

    Racingbros Anti Dive System

ASI125 wrote a thread on heavy fork spring options from BBR, which is another possibility. I don‘t really know about fork suspension, but read a useful article that helped - especially with understanding emulators. https://racetech.com/page/title/Emulators-How%20They%20Work The takeaway is that...

    Racingbros Anti Dive System

So I heard back from Steady Garage about the RacingBros anti-dive fork kit. Apparently the 10” spring is intended to be used. In combination with the 5” spacer tube and the longer top cap, this compensates for the difference with the oem 16” spring. Apparently the stock rebound spring, pipe, and...

    Racingbros Anti Dive System

I received mine and measured the spring at 10” (I got the 6.5 N/mm springs). The box also has 4 7/8” spacers (which I think you showed in the pics). The instructions have specifics for Suzuki Raiders and Honda Winners, but didn‘t address our CTs. I wrote to Steady Garage eight days ago for more...

    Japan market Yoshimura

I’m running the same exhaust (without the wrapping). The sound is great but it also seems to improve maintaining speed on hills- especially around 40mph. It doesn’t do a thing for top end. Mine CT is resting for the winter, but there are many YouTube videos demonstrating the sound.

    Right side cover removal

Hey mcmd, the cover has the obvious plastic pop fastener on the bottom(push in gently in the center), and the rear-facing jis screw. If you then pull the top left corner (as you are facing it) rearward, you should be able to free the tiny post before swinging the bottom up and freeing the top...

    First snow

Hey Tchap, you’re a braver man than me. I’m also in Vermont, and have put my CT away for the winter. While we here in VT have a long stretch of cold and inclement weather, when it is nice out we have so many miles of scenic, quiet, perfect roads for this motorcycle.

    K&H saddle for CT125

Sorry for the slow reply, I hadn’t seen your question until just now. I didn’t want the Givi box to extend beyond the rear rack, so it is positioned with just a few inches space behind the seat. I was able to use two of the threaded mounting points that are stock on the rack, and used two of the...

Spring strength in Trail front suspension

Thanks for replying. I’ll contact Steady Garage and post if they have anything to add.
