    Amps for accessories

So I've been experimenting with this on a trial and error basis. Running a pair of AUX BEAM fogs rated at 34 watts for the pair - no problem. I just added a set of Koso heated grips which take about 40W at full blast. Those shut off automatically if battery voltage dips below 11.5VDC, and on a...

Option for rear shock, not yss

I have those on my Puch. Never thought about trying them on the Trail!

    Seat Pad Solutions / Recommendations

I am a big advocate of taking stock seats (aka torture devices) and sending them to Bill Mayer Saddles to rework. I have sat on BMS seats for 19-20 hours a day without fidgeting once. They're magic! So as to avoid downtime, I bought one of the "Diablo" seats to hold me over while the stock seat...

    Oil/engine temp question.

I plan to switch as well once my supply of GN4 is used up

    Oil/engine temp question.

I set my alarm on my Opmid to 299F. I also have this temp gauge, and I'm finding that it reads about 50-70F less than the Opmid once the bike is warmed up. The Opmid readout is worrying in the sense that conventional oil usually starts to break down at 275-300F and on hot summer rides, the Opmid...

    USB Charger

I wound up installing this $14 from Amazon. It's metal, has a waterproof cover, and an integrated voltmeter. Can't complain!

First "Big Ride" On The Trail

Yes, I was sad to learn about that. Rocky was a great guy and a master at his craft! But the company lives on in good hands. I will be sending my seat there soon. The seat is the only thing I hate about my Trail. I really, really love everything else so far.

First "Big Ride" On The Trail

I'm going to try the "Diablo" seat to get me through this year, and then during winter I will send the stock seat into BMS for a rebuild. I do that for all my touring bikes and it's night and day - I can (and have) sat on those seats for 20 hours straight...

First "Big Ride" On The Trail

Picked up my new Trail on Thursday and rode a big loop through NY / NJ / PA including some light off roading on Saturday. What a pleasure! This bike has some personality and character! The reserve light came on at around 150 miles, which is pretty incredible on 1 gallon of gas. I'm new at off...
