Does anyone have one of these grocery bag hooks?

I want to turn one on my wood lathe from a nice piece of hardwood, then line it with some tubing (copper?) that I epoxy in place.

I’d like to get some approximate dimensions. I haven’t taken delivery of my bike or I would just eyeball it. Anyone know what length and size screw that is?

I have two of those that were sold as "H2C Washer Hook fit for Honda CT125" installed on my CT125. Will pull one tomorrow and get you measurements.

Wow! That is way beyond what I expected! Thank you so much, I can definitely use these as my “blueprint“.

If I am successful, I will send you one.

What do you use them for... asking for a friend. ;)
I’m thinking it is for hanging a plastic grocery bag, something light with just a few items.

I’ve seen pictures of Trail 125 bikes in Asia that are just littered with stuff stacked and hung on them. They are probably running a myriad of hooks.

Much appreciated. If you do end up making an extra I'll take you up on that.

I use them for temporarily hanging items while parked. Usually I will leave a store with bags in hand, and then rather than setting them on the ground when I get to the bike I will hang them from the "hooks" to free my hands so I can then unlock and open the top box I have mounted on the rear carrier.

Well I feel much better about that... just couldn't wrap my head around riding off with even double bagged groceries hanging from one of those... at least not me personally, for at least three reasons, any one of which would amount to a veto of the idea... I was wondering exactly what I was missing or if I was just a wuss. :)

While I’ve certainly seen pictures of folks in Asia carrying insane amounts of stuff on their bikes, I didn’t mean to imply that I would be doing so as well.

My thought was if I had a small item in a bag, too big for my pockets, then I might consider hanging the bag from the hook. But it would have to be something along the lines of a magazine! Or maybe a bottle of water. Really nothing much more.

If a skinny little guy in Vietnam can do, I’m up to the challenge! 😂

If the goal is to actually secure something for carry while underway, I think a eye bolt and a carabiner might work better.
