A few more mods

Chopped off the tailbone killing grab bar on the rear rack. Came off clean and easy with a dremel, and I can always weld it back on if wanted.
Black spoke covers (much easier to keep clean)
Heated grips
Barkbuster Storm single point mount handguards
Folding rear brake pedal

After cutting off the grab rail, I was thinking why not rig up a simple pad to test it out... so I took a Cabelas foam mat, cut it in pieces, stuck a bit of thin plywood under it, and taped it together.


Felt awesome, so I got some Flex Tape at the hardware store and made it waterproof. Then I stuck some velcro under it.

Feels SO much better for my larger legs!

Looks ugly, but now at least I have something to sit on while I wait for a more permanent solution - a modified seat pan that covers a few more inches of the rack.
