I went with the big ant as well. I just drilled a couple of holes in an old license plate that matched up with two of the tapped holes in the rack and ran some bolts thru the plate and the crate and into the rack.

The ridgeline bed is a 5' long (tailgate up). with your extra 6" of space, you probably would not have to angle the bike much to get it fully inside the bed with the tailgate up. They are twins! separate 1' wide ramps. I have them strapped to the trailer hitch to keep them from inadvertently...

Not sure about the rack / winch set-up, but I am around your same age and have been loading my bike solo in the back of my ridgeline with a pair of folding ramps from Harbor Freight (one for me and one for the bike). it is a reasonably light bike. I have had no issues in the 10-12 times I have...

    A few questions

For now, I elected not to add a power connection for charging - since the bike has a kickstart option that will get her going even with a totally flat (or even disconnected) battery. I do have one sitting in the garage if I ever change my mind. Given how I plan to use the bike, an auxillary...

A Couple of Quality Days with the Trail 125 on the Sporting Clays Course

thanks for the comments on the tape! It makes a world of difference! I had actually brought home a carrier from harbor freight - and then realized how much space it was going to take to store it (much more than the ramps). I ended up taking it back and exchanging it for the ramps. If I had...

    Throttle Adjustment...

Good video! I checked the spec in the service manual - it is 2-6 mm. Mine is at the top end of the spec. I have not found it to be an issue, but will certainly pay more attention to it now!
