    Coffee percolator

    I remember that coffee and the "creamer". Yech ! Did your c-rations came with cigarettes? Ours did. I remember those little tins of peanut butter. You'd have to stir it all up because the oil had separated from the peanut.

    Dang salt on the roads

    We got a fuzz over two inches of rain Monday night and so I set out Tuesday for a full day of riding. It started at 60 degrees and ended at 70, with plenty of sunshine. LOL - I awoke this morning feeling like someone beat me.

    What do you spend money on other than motorcycles

    I used to do some small machine work with bolt-action rifles and match barrels. My Wife likes precision shooting, and so she's happy to help. We also collect a few knives here and there.

    Warm New Year's Day in southern IL.

    We also got out. My lovely Wife came along. She had gas money, and she bought lunch ! A bit of a run along Historic Route 66 and a lunch stop at the Famous Missouri Hick BBQ. 40 degrees to start, and 65 degrees to finish. The clouds rolled in and out, but we had more sun and blue skies...

    I know, I know. I'm a picky coffee drinker, and this stuff is actually pretty decent. Seriously. I never thought that I'd say that about ANY instant coffee. Be careful not to get the regular Nescafe or the regular Taster's Choice. Only this one.

    Maiden Voyage

    Purchased on the 14th of December and then we (immediately) had a snow event and temps below zero Low 50's today and took it out for its first 61 miles. About half of that was gravel, down by the river.

    Well.... the Wife wanted to go along, and so we took the other red bike. A little lunch run with a dozen other riders. The Gold Wings were out in force ! We got home with just enough daylight to garden hose wash and leaf blower dry the bike.

    Woke up this morning and it's 58 degrees. Hooked up the water hose and dragged out the leaf blower for a wash & blow dry (later). Now heading out.....

    The weather is about 60 and sunny today and we still have salt residue from the Christmas Eve snow. I'm having Parked Motorcycle Syndrome (PMS) !
