Continuing my comment: If you try change down going fast the bike will likely either lurch or lock up the rear wheel, ie unless u rev match which I suggest you forget about until u get better at shifting down. The manual does NOT explain this well at all.- Stocky

Suggestions. 1, don.t change down when u are going too fast. 2, Push down on the back of the shifter, the clutch has then disengaged the gear u were in. Then let the pedal up SLOWLY which will engage the next gear...- Stocky
