    143 Takegawa cyl install.

Just got back from Moab Utah where I was able to test out the Yuminashi 143 kit with cam, Yoshimura exhaust, 120 fuel injector and EFIE mod. So far I am quite pleased. I opted for the Yuminashi over Takagawa as "M in SC" showed a pic of both pistons and the Yumi had holes drilled to allow...

Thanks much. Already solved. Yuminashi 143 kit in with cam, injector and Yosh exhaust. I'm planning to do a write up soon.

Tire Change - Seating the Bead

I've not tried this ZIp-Tie method. Looks like it would also help in keeping the tire from pushing higher onto the bead for that finale section. I know that often on my other bikes with tubeless tires keeping the mounted section off the bead can sometimes be a PITA. On my tubed tires I've...

    143 Takegawa cyl install.

Getting ready to install my 143 Yuminashi. Having a very difficult time getting the alternator rotor nut loose?!? Not certain that it is not a reverse thread. Can anyone confirm if this is standard, right-tighty thread or reverse thread. I'll post up some pics of my build in a separate...

    Shift Spline Diameter Size

My issue is not shifting, rather if I try to stand on the pegs my heel inevitably hits the rear shifter. I'm going to try rotating the sifter down one and bent slightly inward toward the bike. Higher toe shift, lower heel, when I install my Hard Racing shaft support. Hopefully this will improve...

    143 Takegawa cyl install.

Thanks for the post. I've got a 143 Yuminashi on order. Piston, cylinder and cam. I'm scheduled with a local machine shop to just check clearance spec's between cylinder and piston and also ring gap. I've read that these can sometimes be a bit too close. I feel that if the spec's are correct...

Do you have a link for the EFIE unit that you have? I know there are several available. Thanks.

    143 Takegawa cyl install.

Thanks again for the reply. So did you use the EFIE unit on your bike?

    143 Takegawa cyl install.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm considering the bigger OEM Honda cylinder with (at least now) the Yuminashi piston. I'm more interested in lower end power as I'll be riding mostly off road. I live in Utah and this bike sits in Moab. (I hope you may be familiar with Moab, UT). Although I will...

    143 Takegawa cyl install.

M in SC, Wondering if you have an update for your 143 BBK install? I'm thinking about doing this same mod. Looks like both Webbike and Hard Racing have de-listed the Takegawa 143 kits for the CT125? They may have been seeing many of the same issues you initially experienced. There is a local...
