My name is David Bentley, I am 75 years old on March 5th, 2023. I am a retired Detective Captain having served 30 years rising up the
ranks from patrolman to detective, to Lieutenant and finally Captain. I quite school at 16 to support a family, went back and got my high
school equivalency diploma and at 28 years of age took the civil service test for police officer and scored number 1! I retired
in 2003.
I worked and lived in Tonawanda, NY, very close to Buffalo, NY. I loved my job, the first 4 years I drove the Police Harley during
the summer months and did regular patrol in the cold months. I have owned and ridden motorcycles for 60 years. I started small and
went through the big bike stages and in the past ten years have gotten gradually smaller, Honda silverwing, Vespas then Honda Monkey
and now the Trail 125.
The trail 125 is the most exciting of all, it is all about doing more with less. I fought the big bike "GANGS" for years on the job. Today I always
say, "Anybody can drive a Harley, it takes a man to drive a scooter!" The"Bad Boys" say only "chicks" ride Harley Sporstsers. What BS.To me
riding a Honda 125 Trail across the state to a mountainous campsite and sleeping outside in s tent is "Living and bad ass." My favorite hobby
is working on and riding my small bikes. I also love astronomy and collecting old American coins.

There's 2 things that give the most satisfaction to take for a ride, There's motorcycles and well I'm sure there was another one, used to ride it every day if possible when I was younger but dang if I can remember what it was right now, so There's motorcycles.

Welcome to the club and thanks for your service.
I don't live that far from you. We might have to hook up and have an Andersons roast beef.
