I was out camping with my wife and kids in Anza Borrego Desert State Park this weekend and had a great time with the Trail. I woke up early each morning and took it out for an hour ride before everyone woke up. The weather was cold and crisp but beautiful with clear skies and no wind. I put Big Red through its paces on trails with very deep sand, rocks, hard pack, and water crossings. This bike is a champion and so much fun to ride. I’ve grown up camping in this state park and regularly take our Wrangler but riding the Trail was a whole new connection to the area. I’m continuously impressed with how this bike handles anything you throw at it, no matter how slow you might need to take it at times. It’s a perfect trail bike for a state park with 500 miles of dirt roads and a street legal requirement to ride them.

Sounds like you had a great ride! I've done some exploring in Anza-Borrego (mostly in a street-legal Manx Dune Buggy) but I did spend an afternoon exploring some trails on my TW200 a few years ago. Great place I need to get back to soon!

I hiked through there on the Pacific Crest Trail, back in the day. Beautiful country! Water and shade can be kind of sparse. I’m envious that you get to experience the area on the CT. Must be really great riding. Happy trails!

I’m heading back out to Anza Borrego with the Trail this weekend. I plan to lead the way while my wife drives the Jeep with our kids. Since I went a few weeks back I got some new knobbies and it handles trails so much better. Can’t wait to spend a few days exploring. I learned to drive in Anza Borrego and this is my 18th season camping there with the same group of friends!

Had another great trip to Anza Borrego. Rode the badlands for two days and enjoyed every minute of it. Rode in very very deep sand, crashed face first into a cactus, caught some rain and mud and loved it all. The views here never get old.

That does not look like a helmet I would want to crash face first into a cactus with!
