That website name sounds like something off a Roadrunner cartoon, like really generic, that usually is a red flag. If I’m not familiar with a business, I do a quick check to see if they appear legit. Had one of them scam sites lock up $300 of my money because paypal said I had to wait x number of days before I could do anything, even though the scammers didn’t answer calls or emails.

There isn't really that much of a problem with dealing with companies like that as long as they're responsive and have good customer support.

This is pretty normal for middleman type companies involved with just in time (JIT) supply. Aliexpress operates on the same model, as does Amazon, but at a much larger scale that sometimes hides the fact they're JIT suppliers with warehouses; at a smaller scale Nashbar and Mercier (now Bikes Direct) operate that way. The phone number being in a different state is usually because filing papers and running it out of a different state is cheaper; Wyoming is famous for this, and apart from high filing fees Nevada is cheaper than running it out of Washington state, for example.
