Does anyone (service manual owners) know the stock length (M6x??) for the CT125? I added the 12V charger and want to add another USB Charger. When I added the 12V charger I was just able to shim the nut to the bolt, but there's no way I'll be able to do that adding the O-ring terminals for the new charger.

My first mod was to add the 12v cable for a battery tender (my Trail arrived in early February this year, and it is still winter in Vermont). The original battery terminal screws seemed too short so I picked up a couple longer screws with Allen heads at a local hardware store. The original are 5mm X .8mm thread and only 9 mm threaded length.

Thanks for posting the thread size. There's a wedge of some kind behind my nut but even with that I was only getting a couple threads engaging after adding a ring terminal. Didn't like it so put project on hold.
Came in and checked hodatrail125.com and boom!
It's not critical for our bikes but I'll feel better riding around with 4 or 5 threads engaged.

Any idea what length you got in the end? I will order some online so not in a position to walk in and check them out. So if the original has 9mm of thread could I assume 12mm would work and still fit ( not bind on the battery and still tighten?). Glad to see this thread as I couldn’t get the bolts to bite on the battery nut putting a battery tender lead on. A simple job became a nuisance job. AppreciTe your thoughts.

I was able to get nice replacement bolts at my local hardware store for small change. 12mm sounds right.

probably. if it bottoms out and is loose just put a washer under it. Good rule of thumb on thread engagement over all is 1.5xdia = ideal depth for strength. however, it s just a battery terminal so as long as it goes thru the square nut all the way its fine.
