Took a nice 70 mile ride yesterday with about 50 of it on the highway. When I got home, I noticed that both of the locknuts on my chain adjusters had backed off a half inch. Now I know I tightened those darn things the last time I adjusted the chain, but it's not uncommon when the threads are new on the adjusters. The quick fix is to replace those locknuts with nylon locking nuts. Bingo, no more movement, even if you did forget to tighten the lock nuts completely.
