Hmm. I'm in the 'not a fan' camp. But it's your bike so feel free to Farkle it as you see fit! My Trail came to me over-loaded with Accessories, 90% of which I've now removed.

Yeah pretty much for just aesthetics. Why else? Something to grip onto with your thighs? Not sure this would hold up well on any type of gravel road or trail. I’m with you guys. Think I’ll pass as there are plenty of other useful mods out there.

I'd have loved for it to be a hard luggage option mounted central to the frame and ride. The center mount has several bags and options that exist as aftermarket products to solve this exact problem. The RadRunner Center Console is a more extreme version of this offered for specific models of the Rad Power bicycles, as a huge, centrally located hard storage option that allows for good lockable storage while not compromising handling.

Plus not being able to see all the way through looks better IMO.

Pretty sure my 56yo ass could rip that off with a screwdriver, add a pry bar if i needed... Drive that same screwdriver through the lock to bust that with a hammer or rock. Again, if someone wants it they will get it. It does only list for $99 so that is a deal...

Okay? It's a plastic case... even if the lock were impervious to attacks a crème brulee torch or equivalent on the top and you'd have a noiseless way into the case? The point is more "hard case in center mount area that people can't just pop open and look in, while also looking good", not "Hardened crims hate this one trick".
