Heat Shield Paint Question

Getting ready to paint the heat shield.
Looking to go with the brand Steel It, as it seems to have the strongest diy protection. Out of those who have painted the heat shield, did you do just the outside or inside aswell?

I don’t know that it matters, but I defer to those who have painted their shield…

I degreased the shield and painted both sides with High Temp primer and satin black...looks great and holding up quite well...

Just roughed up the guard with steel wool and put on 6 coats of hight temp Krylon. Looks great.

Red scuff pad and degrease and some heat paint. Wheel paint is very durable as well.

So far so good...it's a huge improvement in looks department and they say the firmer padding is better for comfort...we will see this summer...
