Finally able to put a deposit down here in Connecticut. First in line for the next shipment (Dealer said to expect the bike late Fall or Winter). As a lover of older mopeds this bike was a no brainer for me. For much of my moped lifetime I really wanted a CT70 or CT90, but just never got around to it. I have ridden both a Honda Hobbit and Express, and would probably still buy an MB5 or Motocompo if one came available in my area today. Needless to say the Trail 125 seems like a pretty natural progression for me.

Don't think I'll commute to work much, if at all, on this thing just due to overall distance when avoiding highways. To me this bike screamed "moped, but more capable and reliable", and that's all I needed to hear. Gonna rip this thing around my little town, and deep into some nearby State Forest roads. Also think this might be an easy, unintimidating introduction to motorcycles for some of my more skittish friends who have been talking about getting their license for years, but never followed through. Half an hour in a parking lot whipping the Trail around should convince one or two of them to start their 2-wheel journey.

Yep, that's exactly it. I like the classification of "battle scooter" as well. I hope it arrives soon for you! I had similar thoughts when ordering the CT125, it's a very approachable bike to get friends started on. Mine's already got two friends to sign up for the MSF basic rider course. Coming from a moped I think you'll have a blast with it.
