I’m Jon from Orlando, Florida. I have been riding for over 8 year and my other ride is a Yamaha, FJR. Love how nimble and light the bike is. Came with realistic expectations, full knowingly the purpose of the motorcycle and I’m very pleased with it. 7A1CAE8D-0EED-4BA1-9214-2472726DD1C4.jpeg

Love that! (mainly because I feel exactly the same way)

Coming from a Gold Wing F6B 1800 to a Trail 125 was not a step down as long as I don't have to ride on the highway or speeds over 45ish.
If I need to move it around in the garage I can drag the rear of the Trail around. I rode up into my yard and parked on the sidewalk when all the parking spots were full!
Would never do either of these things with the Gold Wing.

I love riding any motorcycle but this thing seems like the purest feeling of that motorcycle exhilaration I've felt yet.
I'm getting old and I never imagined me saying something like this, but... it makes me feel like a teenager again.
So clichè, but no lie.
Now I'm just struggling to get wife free for a weekend to do the basic riders training course so I can get her some of this elixir. Got her a Super Cub that she looks cute as a button on!

Guess you'll have year-round riding there in the great state of Florida? Keep us posted and ride safe!

I’m glad you like the bike. Reasonable expectations is what it’s all about. A lot of folks want more from the bike than what it can give.

Are you on FJRForum as well? I lurk there with a different handle. Used to hang out with them 14 years ago. Still go back there every now and then for more of the well established knowledge sort of stuff. Never actually owned a FJR1300A but have relatives with them, really wanted one for a long time, then life and priorities changed.

That’s it right there. I want fast I hop on the FJR and go. Want to tour long distance, I hop on the FJR and hit the road. Although I am thinking of running to GA and doing a portion of the TAT, probably a bad Idea but who cares lol

I am on it but not active at all! I lurk here and there for parts but not much besides that. From my brothers and I trip 4 weeks ago to North GA, NC and TN. Great riding up there

Back in 2009, I rode with Niehart (aka Dave) and we did a fantastic trip out to Maupin, Shaniko, Fossil and Antelope OR. I fell in love with the area because of that. One of my goals on the CT125 is to recreate one of my more treacherous bicycle rides through the area, potentially connecting it to the WABDR, which would be a pretty fun trip.
