I have been unable to find out if the aluminum case in this photo is/was a Kitaco product, or if it is just an aluminum box with a Kitaco decal on both sides. Does anyone know?MilitaryCampsterKitacoAluminumBox.jpg

Looks like a Givi/Kappa aluminum top case with a Kitaco sticker on it.
Possibly this one: https://giviusa.com/products/dlm46a-46ltr-dolomiti-monokey-top-case
Thanks.. I think you are correct, and you are the master of the search. The rivets and shape look correct. I don't think I would have found it without your help. I was including Kitaco in all of my searches. It is odd that all the photos and links I can now find after your help of that Givi top case, don't show the back of the case and the hinges. They are pretty proud of the monokey set-up and that is pretty much all they show. The video on that page does show the open case from above, and I now see that the open top view is also common, and the rear hinges do look to be correct.

Yeah, it's a nice box, but man that is expensive (maybe)... probably worth it in the end, if it's truly high quality, and easy to mount/unmount quickly.

I've owned several Givi and Kappa cases so they looked familiar. Givi make OEM accessory luggage for many motorcycle and scooter brands including Honda. When I first got my Trail 125 I was tempted to mount a "HONDA" branded 42L Givi Trekker (Africa Twin CRF1100 accessory P/N: 08L73-MKS-E00). The Givi or Kappa branded ones can usually be found for much less than the list price. Their features are great if you make use of them. Easy removal of the cases to move between bikes, or having them keyed alike. The "wave" type lock cylinders can be keyed to use the sidewinder/wave key that fits the ignition on the CT125, same as how @vintagegarage has keyed the cylinder on a Japanese market OEM side box to use the ignition key. One thing about the lock setup that I don't like is that you cannot fully close their cases without locking them, so there's no way to leave a case closed but unlocked.
