I have the Honda handle bar pad on mine, helps but does not do enough for me so I ordered a Diablo Seat. The pad does look quite good though and the red is a close match.View attachment 4891
I have a Diablo seat...supposedly sits lower tho I've never had a problem with hitting this bar...

I've attached a Air Hawk cushion to the OEM seat and found that the additional lift of the cushion reduces the interference between my back and the bar. For reference i'm 6'3".

Thank you for the information. The 10 inch Honda pad seems a bit long. Can anyone confirm which Honda pad is best. Thanks Ben

I just purchased a 10" Honda pad and it was junk, useless. The quality was pretty shi!tty off amazon. It was way too long and I had to cut like 1.5" off each end which made it look weird. Then the foam didn't want to fit over the bar and started to split from stretching. It's made to go around a smaller round bars not a larger square bar. Even when it was cut to size the outer shell didn't want to velcro shut wouldn't stretch. The foam that came with it was a lot thicker than your normal pipe cover stuff. I had some pipe cover stuff and tried that. It fit fine but provided no protection at all. I guess it's either pool noodle for me or just deal with it. I have an airhawk seat pad which raisies your riding height a little so once I put that on it might be a moot point. Waiting for airhawk straps I ordered.

Cut the bar off and relocate it to the rear side of the cargo tray, really helps to secure a load too. Keep in mind, Asian people fit these bikes better than we do.

I'm pretty sure that I've seen bits and pieces on here about the discomfort caused by the luggage rack bar directly behind the seat. I'm tall and tend to sit near the back of the seat. I have a section of foam pipe insulator on the bar but still managed to crack my tailbone quite hard today. I really do not want to install a larger seat. Just wondering if any of you have any solutions other that a complete seat replacement?
Curious, how tall are you?

I am 5’11” and tend to sit towards the back of the seat too. I’ve shown just about every angle of my wood clad milk crate on here except for the front of it. The front is only clad on the upper half (the grab bar interfered with the lower half). With it set up like this my back comes into just enough contact and pressure with the upper cladding that it keeps me off of the bar, it actually provides a slight degree of a comfortable back rest too. The worn spot in the paint is where my cell phone contacts it as it sits in my rear pocket IMG_7195.jpeg
