Does anyone have any experience with the MotolordD rear box as shown on the Beezdeals website? It's a little big, but looks as if it has a great fit on the rear rack and I'm hoping my helmet fits inside. Thats primary reason I'd be looking at it. I already have a 6 gallon milk crate, but I'd rather not carry my helmet into work every day and leaving it exposed to the rain isn't an option with helmet lock. Just wondering about fit, finish and quality. Thanks, Wisco125.

If you mean the MotolordD one, @vintagegarage has a video with it:
Thanks!! That is exactly what I was looking for. Like he says the hinges would need some attention, but I like how it is molded to fit the back plate. I was probably not coming up with anything because of the spelling, which I corrected. Thanks for replying!

As it turns out, I removed the MotolordD rear box and put it on the shelf, as I liked the looks of an aluminum box better. Now, however, I am starting to think that the MotolordD rear box might look good on a yellow Trail 125. I started thinking that I might install other MotolordD items on it as well. The MotolordD long seat may have been discontinued, but it wouldn't work with the rear box anyway. I did discover three new MotolordD rear seats however, that look like they would fit with the box. The rear lift bar has never been a problem for me as I am so short that the rear bar never touches me. However, for those who complain about the rear bar, perhaps the new MotolordD short rear seat might be a good option instead a swimming pool noodle. The seats come in three patterns: Diamond, Horizontal, and Vertical. Has anyone tried one of them yet? Have a look at this page:

and scroll down halfway. Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. I don't really like giving up on the lift handle which I use a lot, but am interested to hear if anyone has tried the MotolordD short seat.

I had temporarily mounted a fire extinguisher stick to the rear carrier handle on a trip last year and having that obstruct access to the rear carrier handle made me realize just how helpful it is, especially when the bike is loaded or you're parking on a slope. There is a side handle accessory intended for when cargo is blocking access to the handle. It's an interesting idea that could possibly be used with or adapted for use with longer seats that retain the original rear carrier.

If you are not already pointing your toes to the rear of the bike when putting your foot on the center stand, I would recommend giving that a try as well.

i never aim my feet back putting any bike on a centerstand. I just step down with my RH foot, pointed forward or slightly in. Back? how does that even work? (im serious)

It's show in the video I posted. Only the right foot's toes point to the rear of the bike. It's Honda's recommendation in most owners manuals that illustrate use of the center stand. It makes a significant difference IMO, especially with much heavier bikes like the Gold Wing.

Not for me. I've put GWs and my concourses up like that for.. years... but to each their own. I'm also left handed so that may play into it.

in and forward.

in, a bit forward.

RH toe back faces you towards the bike, and you can fall into it.
