Motoskill WTF?

So I finally got my Motoskill center rack in the mail after a month or so. So excited! Unpacked everything and went to put it on. This is supposed to be the most simple install in the history of mankind. But The bolts and spacers they sent with the rack look to be wrong? The spacer sticks out like a 1/4 inch. So when I went to put all the bolts in everything was pretty tight. I knew something was wrong when I went to install the final plastic covers and there was no way they were going in. The long bolts never sunk in, they were like flush with the rack. I took it off since I figured something was wrong. I'm lucky I didn't strip out the center bolt! When I looked down the center hole there were metal shavings from the threads!?! The original bolt seemed to thread back in OK so that was a relief. But WTF Motoskill are you trying to sabotage my Trail? So now I need a smaller spacer and probably different long bolts since when I tried to screw them in with the rack off just to test, they seemed like they didn't want to go in very easily. Has anyone else experienced this with the Motoskil bolts? The rack seems OK and I'm not going to ship it back but what the heck.

my spacers look about the sam didnt bother me one bit. there may be too much paint in the rack hole to allow the allen head to sink in?

Crisis averted. I took everything off applied some wd40 to the holes which seemed to help a little. Got everything installed and was able to get the plastic caps on the ends. Hopefully I don't have to remove that rack too often. Is there a term in the dictionary for the opposite of a mechanic? I'm surprised I'm not on some "do not sell tools to this idiot" list when I walk into the hardware store sometimes.
