I grew up on a Trail 50, then CT 70 and on and on... My parents had two CT90's in the 60-70's. This was a nostalgia purchase but man has it been fun. Just passing a break in period. Of course I already started mod's.
Looking forward to learning and sharing experience.

Similar experience here as a new member from Texas. I'll share my story. When I was a kid I had a Trail 50, friend had a Trail 70 (we rode each others bikes a lot). My dad bought a new 1982 model Trail 110, and he bought me a much older Trail 50 so we could ride together. I rode the tires off the 50, and after my dad died in 1984 and I started riding the 110 more. Rode it all the way through junior high and high school, but less and less after I got my license to drive a car.

I was not kind to the 110, or 50. I remember one week in particular that me and my buddy thought it would be wise to accelerate up to ~20mph and purposefully lay the 110 down on dirt or grass multiple times to see if we could survive. We DID and so did the bike with minor scrapes and bumps. We also jumped the 110 and 50 up and over dump truck dirt piles to astonishing heights. I honestly don't think I knew that the 110 had a hi/lo gear selector. It must have been in low the whole time because I could pull up a first gear wheelie with my feet down and maintain it at low speed in 1st gear 200-300 yards (I know that sounds like embellishment, but when you have no "good" video games or internet - this is what kids used to do until they mastered it!). Both bikes set up in the shed for years and weren't running, but were fully intact. Flash forward to about 10 or 15 years ago, my mom and her husband tell me they are having a garage sale and asked if I wanted the bikes. My response was YES, and I would be up in a couple of days to get them. When I got there, they told me they let them both go for $25.00! :( They also told me how "excited" the guy was to get the bikes. So if any of you trail bike connoisseurs out there reading this picked them up at a garage sale in Denton, TX around that timeframe... YOU OWE ME!!!

I have not been on a motorized two-wheeled bike since back then. Lurked for years on Craigslist mostly for fun looking for similar bikes. I learned about this new 125 in January 2021 and got #3 spot on wait list in Fort Worth. It just came in about a month ago and my bike now has 150 miles. I am now 49 yrs old with a family, mortgage, and all the other issues adults have. This little red bike has provided a surprising amount of joy and happiness and I hope it stays that way - no complaints. (Don't worry, I was happy before too).

Here is my 14-yr old on the bike with a costume / character suit he made himself coincidentally in the same color scheme - he thought looked cool!
