New shocks squeaking

Don’t know what is causing these shocks to sounds like someone is jumping up and down on an old bed with the squeaky springs sound. Put on adjustable shocks a few days ago, i didn’t notice any noise at all, now when I sit on the bike or get off the bike it squeaks. Anyone have any ideas what is causing this?

Are you sure it's the shocks and not the swingarm bearings making noise?

You could check the shocks to make sure there's no rubbing on them anywhere from contact with the bike or accessories. Make sure everything is still snug. And see if the squeak persists when adjusted to a different preload setting.

I just adjusted the preload and it’s quite as a church mouse now. I had already checked clearance a few times and shock are snug. Thanks dmonkey, I was not thinking how adjusting preload would fix this.
