About a month ago I asked you guys for some tool box replacement ideas and you delivered!

@Kritou suggested using a cheap camera bag off eBay, which gave me the idea to get a $26 messenger bag off Amazon as a saddle bag.
@dmonkey suggested the Givi S250 tool box which is an excellent option, but too pricey for me. He also suggested the Takegawa Helmet Holder Rack from weBike, which eventually led me to getting a cheaper Kijima side rack from weBike.
@Kev250R and @SneakyDingo suggested using a tractor manual tube, which I bought for $14 off eBay.
To hold all my tools, I got a cheapo $13 pencil case off Amazon which fits into the tractor manual tube perfectly.

Other than the side rack, I tried to avoid motorcycle specific gear to save money. By going for a pencil case, messenger bag, and tractor tube I think I saved a bit of money while adding more functionality to my bike.

I'd trim the bag straps and seal the ends again as otherwise they'll flap around and eventually fray (maybe even go fancy with some end cap style finishes) but beyond that... WOW. I did not expect it to turn out that well. Looks great, really nice end result.

Looks good! I've had good luck with those tubes on an ATV which I rode for a couple of years all over the Mohave and Utah. I was always impressed with the amount of things I could pack in there. Always kept everything nice and dry, even when I spent most of a week riding that ATV (with Tractor Manual Tube attached) through rain and mud.
