Thanks - I’m converting to tubeless using the “ghetto” approach and wondered if I should add some protection to the tube remnant from the nipple endsThere is rim tape to protect the tube from the spokes, it does not seal though.

Tires Megathread
Sorry for the beating of a dead horse, but every shop near me wants $180 to mount and balance these suckers so I need to make the right choice on the first go... Where do you live? I'll happily mount them for $100, I don't see the need to balance tires on a 275# bike that goes 50-55 in perfect...hondatrail125.com

Will check the spokes before covering, and will probably use Gorilla TapeIt's a thin rubber strip that is not adhered in place, so you'll definitely want to do something to seal the spoke nipple ends - and then hope they don't need adjustment for a long time.
Tubeless … because I think, hope it is a quick and dirty answer to the many sharps I seem to encounter …Why tubliss?
