Sounds good. One of my ridding buddies lives around Summit/SJ Soquel so thats usually our general starting area. Looking forward to it

Perfect. I've lived in Santa Cruz county forever and know some fun rides. I also have a trailer that we could pack up 3 or 4 into if we want to head up to the Sierras or wherever.

Finally got insurance, took 2 weeks for Geico to fail, went with progressive. Ready to ride. Maybe next weekend we could tool around Corralitos? Wine country and a good deli. Lots of lonely Mt. roads through the redwoods.

I'm out of town this weekend. Maybe Veterans Day weekend? I have been thinking about the best way to make up to summit road from San Jose. Intentionally wait for beach traffic to build up and slow down? Wait on the shoulder for a slow truck and follow the truck? I'll probably just throw it in the back of my truck...

I would stay away from Summit Road and Soquel San Jose road on a bike or motorcycle. There are too many crazies driving way too fast on any day, just too dangerous with all of the blind turns and people trying to pass slower drivers and bikes while going 70mph in the opposing lane. I used to do that commute and have seen too many bike and moto related accidents over the years. There are also a lot of wet spots and leaves this time of year.

I'd truck it over. That would be a good weekend for me.
