@bryanchurch06 don’t get me wrong, I used to love nighttime adventures, and I’m certainly done my share. We used to run all night no lights (stupid teenagers) then later when I grew up I did crazy shit like fly around in the dark, but then one of my friends lost his head, literally, and suddenly what my father told me my whole life became obvious. Nothing good happens after midnight. Best practice at least for me these days is ride during the day, well rested and in a good frame of mind unless I have no other choice.
I wasn't taking a shot at you, I was thinking about other things and how adventure doesn't always go your way, often times when you're in one you don't appreciate it, usually in my case it's just a case of grinding out miles day after day. I believe that adventures have 3 phases, the planning/dreaming Part which is often the most enjoyable if I'm honest. Then there's the adventure itself, usually in my case a struggle with small bits of enjoyment and then the time after it's over and you are just processing everything trying to hold onto the little bits you want to remember. Hell most of the stuff I've done only really mattered to me anyway. Anyway I've forgotten what I was trying to say as usual just trying to explain shit you can't explain anyway.

Objectively if it was a fast day at 400 miles in 12 hrs that is 800.
I get endurance, averaged 117 on my bicycle for 25 day’s to get from San Diego to Charleston. I’ve pedaled Canada to Mexico too. Moto’d us to Cabo more then a few times.

I would love to hear of the success, I just think with a top speed around 45ish averaging 41 is a heavy lift. Not sure the 125 sets you up for said success…. Closed 1 mile oval maybe, traffic and stoplights🤔🤔🤔

After thinking about it. I did stop quite often during the day. Taking photos of checkpoints and bonus points, stopping for fuel and head call. If you minimize the pit stops, I bet it could be done. Still a hell of an achievement. I hope he does it.

I didn't read it that way at all... it's all good, everyone gets to make their own decisions, at least until we are confined to our 15 minute cities...

I commonly ride 100+ miles in my county and never hit a road faster than 55 and never the same road twice except the one I live on. Great scooter country here.

My son recently moved to Kentucky, was looking at all the great roads on Rever earlier today. Gonna be spending a bit of time up that way exploring very soon...
