Took a long ride on a pretty rough road and have seemed to develop a clunk coming from the front end when I hit pot hole or bump. Sounds like the head stock bearing is loose, anybody else have this issue after riding on a rough surface. Don’t have a service manual yet, does anybody know the torque spec for the steering head Bering cap? Only about 1200 miles on it.

I remember reading another forum member had a clunk going on and they tightened the head bearing and it reduced it. When I ride off my drop kerb (road was resurfaced and is an inch lower than my kerb now) mine clunks and I can feel it thru the bars. At some point I'll take a look at mine.

You can find the service manual as a PDF here:

@SneakyDingo has an informative post on the service here: https://hondatrail125.com/index.php...-probably-like-an-idiot.753/page-4#post-21958

One of the YouTubers in Thailand mentioned that his CT's persistent front suspension clunk was resolved by adding slightly more fork oil than what is called for.

Probably the same torque specs for the 23, still would like a 23 service manual download if anyone has one! 😎

Checked the head stock bearings, they were good. Snugged up a couple bolts on the head light mount and one caliper bolt was loose. Not sure what the clunk was, but it's gone now. Probably that front caliper.

I haven’t noticed any clunking, but the steering is very loose and the slightest tilt and it flops over pretty hard. I’m going to tighten it up a bit while installing my risers next week. Don’t know if it’s in spec, but I don’t like it.
